Kunstuff is a small business in sunny Tempe, AZ specializing in 3D printing and CAD design. I am an engineer by training and profession and am driven by a strong desire to create and innovate. It is taking an idea, concept, or design and bringing it to life as a physical, tangible object that is the magic of 3D printing. Kunstuff maintains small- and large-format printers appropriate to a wide range of projects and can print a number of materials to suit a project's needs, whether functional or aesthetic. Over time, CAD design and reverse engineering have been added as services, primarily to support 3D printing needs for those who need some assistance in preparing models for printing.
Kunstuff started almost a decade ago as a small 3D-printing service. As the business grew and services were added, a change of name was needed, and Kunstuff was born. But what is Kunstuff, and why would anyone use it as a name for their business? In German, Kunstoff is the word for plastic, and Kunst translates into English as art. The word itself embodies both art and plastic; and at Kunstuff, these are brought together for visualization and functional design. Through creative works and functional design, we seek to make life just a little bit better (or maybe even a lot).
